Everyone who knows anything about Mysticism, knows that the full realization of God cannot be attained through thoughts or words. But the Archetype of the Story of Exodus provides a paradigm of spiritual development that includes "spiritualized intellect" symbolized by Moses. In the archetype, Moses is essential to the spiritual development process, leading the chosen people out of slavery in Egypt to the brink of the Promised Land. Egypt represents the paradigm of duality. The Promised Land represents the realization of Oneness or God. But Moses does not enter himself, because even the most spiritualized intellect could never comprehend God. He does lead to the brink, however, which is where one needs to be to go beyond intellect and actually experience God.
The following is an exercise in spiritualized intellect leading to the brink of the experience of God.

Re Ontological Mysticism and its Authorship by Ben Gilberti I am the author of the Letter from Moses (which I prefer to call "Ontological Mysticism"). The only reason why I said that I cannot take "credit" for it is because I asked for and believed I was receiving continual "Guidance" from the Holy Spirit as I was writing it. Not to the extent that I was a channel or a scribe or anything like that, but just that HS was the source of the inspiration. The ideas just came to me "out of the blue," and the "blue" that I believe they were coming from was the Holy Spirit. BEN GILBERTI has also

This
is not an essay, but the lecture notes I used for the talk I gave on Spiritual
Certainty in Translation at ACIMGather on Feb. 11, 2007. It includes a
sample of a full translation on Body that we didn’t have time to go over during
the talk. Much Love, Ben Gilberti
What I’d like to talk about tonight is Translation, which is a 5 step process for Translating erroneous beliefs back into the Truth, or True Ideas, they were a lie about. It’s not meant to be a substitute or replacement for anything else we’re learning and practicing here; but possibly something that might augment or enhance our other spiritual disciplines. As far as ACIM in particular is concerned, it turns out that ACIM dovetails so well with this process, that if you arranged all the quotations in a certain sequence you could actually teach the entire process of Translation completely. So that was pretty amazing to me.
If you were absolutely certain that God is all there is, you would never experience anything else.
Since we are in fact experiencing many things that are less than or other than God, then we must not be absolutely certain that God is all there is.
So, what I’m going to try to illustrate tonight is how the self-evidence of Truth can make it possible for us to be absolutely certain that God is all there is.
T-7.XI.5.7 Nothing is so easy to recognize as truth. 8 This is the recognition that is immediate, clear and natural. 9 You have trained yourself not to recognize it, and this has been very difficult for you.
We have trained ourselves not to recognize Truth so that we could believe the tiny mad idea, that we’re separate from God, which means that God is NOT all there is, because now there’s something else, us.
It really was mad alright, but at first it was very, very tiny, very fragile, it’s reality definitely just a pretense.
But let’s look at what happens now. God’s allness is what constituted His perfection. So God being All = perfection. God is not All = God is not perfection which is God = imperfection. So now we’re believing that imperfection is real, that it exists.
And since all is Mind, that belief must manifest in our experience.
But our experience was just a reflection of our belief, nothing more.
Ahhhh, but the tiny mad sense of self that deep down knows it’s not real and must find tricks to make it appear real thinks, if the reflection of all my beliefs contrary to God’s nature can be believed to be actually real instead of just a reflection, then I’ll have a real world contrary to God and all to myself!
Thus was born the material world as the reality that replaced God, and since God is Mind, it was the reality that also replaced ideas.
The seat of reality was now the hard, concrete, external, self-existent material world in contrast to which beliefs and ideas were now insubstantial.
So the external, physical world was now considered the source of Truth, and beliefs were now a reflection of that world. So if we wanted to know if a belief was true or not, we needed to look to the world to see how well the belief fit what was happening in that world. The way Mind worked was completely turned upside down. The ego was now safe because it had succeeded in training us not to recognize Truth, and this has been very difficult for us.
And as if that weren’t enough, the set up made sure that our upside down idea of Truth would continually reinforce itself. So that’s how a whole world built out of such a fragile and tiny mad idea reinforced itself to become the goliath it is for most of us today.
Here’s what happens now. Believing as we do that something other than God is possible, or in other words believing as we do that imperfection is possible, that phenomenon as a result manifests in an illusory experience that we think is real imperfection and that we think testifies to the validity or truth of a belief that in fact is utterly false. Then, our illusory experience, thought by us to be evidence of reality instead of merely being a reflection of what we happen to believe, leads us to become more convinced in the erroneous beliefs that gave rise to our imperfect experience, and that deeper conviction in our erroneous beliefs then results in more vivid and consistent manifestation in our experience, which in turn convinces us even more deeply of our beliefs, which then in turn even more reliably manifests in our experience, making us yet even more convinced in our beliefs, then resulting in yet even more vivid manifestation in experience, and so and so on, round and round, locking us into a vicious circle that is destined to keep us hopelessly imprisoned until we realize that our experience is nothing more than a reflection of our beliefs and will change the instant we change those beliefs.
drebudarbs
But, in order to be able to change our beliefs, conviction born of experience must be replaced by another, more reliable form of conviction. And that is conviction born of the self-evidence of Truth itself. We all have the God-given ability to recognize Truth with absolute certainty. Certainty is of God. Doubt and uncertainty is of the ego. It’s just as easy as realizing that 2+2=4 after a lifetime of believing 2+2=5
Erroneous idea 2+2=5 True idea 2+2=4 True ideas can either be understood or believed. But erroneous ideas can only be believed. Once we understand the true idea that the belief was a lie about, we will find that it is then absolutely impossible to believe the erroneous idea any more (use 2+2=5 example)
Beliefs and ideas manifest experience/world/sense testimony
It’s all no more external or physical than a dream at night
everything is mind or awareness. Everything is vortex of thought in awareness.
Occasions of characteristics arising mutually with environment, wave/particle
Includes phylogenetic data as well as ontogenetic data
It makes a clearing in a forest of infinite True ideas. The clearing is made up of the ideas we’ve come to understand so far, and the beliefs we’ve come to accept so far. As we Translate an erroneous belief into the True idea that it was a lie about, our clearing enlarges, our awareness expands.
So error itself is not the culprit, ignorance is; because a belief in error can only occur in ignorance. It is only through overcoming ignorance by understanding how Truth can clearly expose the impossibility of error, that the belief in error can vanish, and Truth can stand revealed, free, as the sole Reality. The clearer the Translation, the greater is the understanding of the absolute impossibility of error and the absolute reality of Truth, and it is only such an understanding that can replace the ignorance that made it seem possible to believe the impossible and lose sight of the certain, to believe in imperfection and lose sight of God.
Nothing contaminates heaven but belief in error, nothing makes possible belief in error but ignorance, nothing dissolves ignorance but understanding, nothing evokes understanding but clarity, and nothing provides clarity but the illumination shining in the self-evidence of Truth. If Truth were not self-evident, it could not be understood, and if Truth could not be understood, there would only be ignorance.
So the objective of a Translation is to use as much clarity as possible to evoke as much understanding as possible, to replace the ignorance behind belief in error with clear understanding of how Truth absolutely must be the sole Reality.
The light of understanding is clearly the antidote to the darkness of ignorance. But this understanding must be absolutely certain because much erroneous belief simply will not melt in the face of anything less. Sense testimony can be so longstanding and persistent that it leaves us believing in error with an almost certain sense of conviction, and the only way to melt such a belief is with the heat that only absolute certainty would provide. In a Translation, a confrontation occurs between our conviction borne of sense testimony about which we are almost certain and our new conviction borne of the self-evidence of Truth about which we can be absolutely certain. Absolute certainty will of course always win. Fortunately, the self-evidence of Truth is capable of delivering the absolute certainty that’s necessary; all that’s required is the extra care necessary to lay the facts out with enough precision to allow that certainty to become evident.
Nothing is so easy to recognize as truth. This is the recognition that is immediate, clear and natural.
Alright, so let’s see if we can demonstrate this. As we’ve been saying, This process simply involves using your certainty about Truth to dissolve beliefs that are contrary to Truth. If we’re absolutely certain that God is all there is, then we’ll be absolutely certain that anything contrary to God’s nature is completely nonexistent and utterly impossible.
But the real question is, what can make you absolutely certain that God is all? Without that certainty the process won’t work. So what can make you really and truly certain beyond any shadow of a doubt?
Chapter 14.
TEACHING FOR TRUTH
Introduction
T-14.in.1 Yes, you are blessed indeed. 2 Yet in this world you do not know it. 3 But you have the means for learning it and seeing it quite clearly. 4 The Holy Spirit uses logic as easily and as well as does the ego, except that His conclusions are not insane. 5 They take a direction exactly opposite, pointing as clearly to Heaven as the ego points to darkness and to death. 6 We have followed much of the ego's logic, and have seen its logical conclusions. 7 And having seen them, we have realized that they cannot be seen except in illusions, for there alone their seeming clearness seems to be clearly seen. 8 Let us now turn away from them, and follow the simple logic by which the Holy Spirit teaches the simple conclusions that speak for truth, and only truth.
T-14.II.2 The Holy Spirit begins His lesson in simplicity with the fundamental teaching that truth is true. This is the hardest lesson you will ever learn, and in the end the only one. Simplicity is very difficult for twisted minds. Nothing is so alien to you as the simple truth, and nothing are you less inclined to listen to. The contrast between what is true and what is not is perfectly apparent, yet you do not see it.
T-14.II.3 The Holy Spirit says, with steadfast quietness, The truth is true. Nothing else matters, nothing else is real, and everything beside it is not there. 5 Let Me make the one distinction for you that you cannot make, but need to learn. 6 Your faith in nothing is deceiving you
W-pI.152.3 Salvation is the recognition that the truth is true, and nothing else is true. This you have heard before, but may not yet accept both parts of it. Truth cannot have an opposite. This cannot be too often said and thought about. For if what is not true is true as well as what is true, then part of truth is false. And truth has lost its meaning. Nothing but the truth is true, and what is false is false.
T-7.X.2 4 The ability to see a logical outcome depends on the willingness to see it, but its truth has nothing to do with your willingness. 5 Truth is God's Will.
What God is, and what God wills, are the same thing.
So when you bring yourself into alignment and harmony with what God is, you’re bringing yourself into alignment and harmony with the Will of God.
W-pI.66.10. You will listen to madness or hear the truth. 2 Try to make this choice as you think about the premises on which our conclusion rests.
“Truth is true” and “nothing else is true” are clear and certain major and minor premises of a syllogism that leads with absolute certainty to the most important conclusion there is. Please take a brief moment to study it until it’s certainty is clear:
Major Premise: Truth is true,
Minor Premise: Nothing else is true,
Conclusion: Therefore, Truth is all there is.
Notice that you can be absolutely certain that Truth is all there is. Your ability to abolish illusions will be in direct proportion to that certainty.
If the reasoning is now expanded to reveal the attributes of Truth, clarity and certainty can be maintained if the conclusion of each syllogism is used as the major premise of the next syllogism. In each syllogism, the minor premise expands the meaning of each attribute:
Truth is All,
All is entire,
Therefore Truth is entire
Truth is entire,
Entire is total,
Therefore Truth is total
Truth is total,
Total is complete,
Therefore Truth is complete
Truth is complete,
Complete is whole,
Therefore Truth is whole
Truth is whole,
Whole is one,
Therefore Truth is one
Truth is one,
Oneness is Love,
Therefore Truth is Love
Truth is Love,
Love is harmony,
Therefore Truth is harmony
Truth is harmony,
Harmony is perfection,
Therefore Truth is perfection
Truth is perfection,
Perfection is absoluteness,
Therefore Truth is absolute
Truth is absolute,
Absolute is infinite,
Therefore Truth is infinite
(more attributes can be included)
So therefore Truth is all, entire, total, complete, whole, one, Love, harmony, perfection, absolute and infinite.
Now, since Truth is all there is, you can’t be outside of Truth, but neither can your illusions about yourself be included in Truth. So we must include only the Truth about you. Everything else you believe about yourself may be illusory, but you can be absolutely certain that you exist as mind or awareness, or else you wouldn’t be aware of Truth.
So Mind must exist
And since Truth is all there is,
Mind must therefore be Truth.
So Truth is all, entire, total, complete, whole, one, Love, harmony, perfection, absolute, infinite Mind, which is altogether what God is, is all there is, and is what you really are.
So therefore you must be the Presence of God, and the embodiment of all the attributes of Truth.
T-9.VII.8. Whenever you question your value, say: 2 God Himself is incomplete without me. 3 Remember this when the ego speaks, and you will not hear it. 4 The truth about you is so lofty that nothing unworthy of God is worthy of you.
W-pI.67.5.2 You need to hear the truth about yourself as frequently as possible, because your mind is so preoccupied with false self-images.
W-pI.95.10. Let all these errors go by recognizing them for what they are. 2 They are attempts to keep you unaware you are one Self, united with your Creator, at one with every aspect of creation, and limitless in power and in peace. 3 This is the truth, and nothing else is true. 4 Today we will affirm this truth again, and try to reach the place in you in which there is no doubt that only this is true.
W-pI.136.15 I will accept the Truth of what I am, and let my mind be wholly healed today.
My roommate cuts down trees for a living. She has to trim the branches first.
The appearance of anything contrary to the attributes of Truth, or in other words the appearance of any kind of suffering or limitation, would be something contrary to Truth and hence would not be true. Knowing that it’s not true, you can no longer believe it. And once you no longer believe it, suffering or limitation has to disappear from your experience because it was only your belief in it that was making the illusion appear in the first place.
So whenever you encounter an attribute contrary to God, expose its nothingness by realizing it’s a claim that something not true is true. Its dissolving into nothingness then uncovers the attribute of God that the contrary attribute was a lie about. So right where the error appeared, the Truth is then seen to be the sole reality.
Since God is all there is, all we can ever really encounter are God’s attributes. There can’t possibly be any contrary attributes anywhere at all. We’re really always in the Kingdom of Heaven. What’s actually happening is that our beliefs in contrary attributes are distorting our perception of the True attributes they are lying about.
T-3.IV.6 Light abolishes darkness merely by showing you it is not there. Truth will always overcome error in this way.
W-pI.107.1 Where truth has entered errors disappear. They merely vanish, leaving not a trace by which to be remembered. They are gone because, without belief, they have no life. And so they disappear to nothingness, returning whence they came.
T-14.IX.3. Merely by being what it is, does truth release you from everything that it is not. 5 But to give illusions to truth is to enable truth to teach that the illusions are unreal, and thus
enable you to escape from them. 6 Reserve not one idea aside from truth, or you establish orders of reality that must imprison you.
T-10.II.4 Truth is God
I believe the body is material. But since God is all there is, and God is awareness, all that the body can be is divine awareness.
I believe people are separate from each other. But since God is all there is, and God is one, people can only be one as the one Presence of God.
I believe that transportation takes time and effort. But since God is all there is, and God is always everywhere, transportation can only be God’s effortless instantaneous everpresence.
I believe that money is hard to earn or acquire. But since God is all there is, all that money can be is God’s value and worth, and always fully present as infinite Love and perfection.
I believe that health can be threatened by illness. But since God is all there is, all that health can be is the divine wholeness, completeness and perfection whose allness excludes the possibility of anything that could threaten it. So health is divine wholeness, completeness and perfection as stable, sure and certain as God’s very Being.
I believe that Spiritual Guidance is hard for me to access. But since God is all there is, and God is infinite intelligence, Spiritual Guidance is as intimate as the divine infinite intelligence that constitutes my very substance.
I believe that housing ranges from squalor to mansions. But since God is always infinitely perfect, He can’t range from lesser to greater. And since God is all there is to housing, housing can’t range from lesser to greater either, but must always be the infinite perfection of the divinity of which it consists.
T-3.II.3. 4 The miracle perceives everything as it is. 5 If nothing but the truth exists, right-minded seeing cannot see anything but perfection. 6 I have said that only what God creates or what you create with the same Will has any real existence. 7 This, then, is all the innocent can see. 8 They do not suffer from distorted perception.
MOST BEAUTIFUL
W-pI.49.1. It is quite possible to listen to God's Voice all through the day without interrupting your regular activities in any way. 2 The part of your mind in which truth abides is in constant communication with God, whether you are aware of it or not. 3 It is the other part of your mind that functions in the world and obeys the world's laws. 4 It is this part that is constantly distracted, disorganized and highly uncertain.
W-pI.49.2. The part that is listening to the Voice for God is calm, always at rest and wholly certain. 2 It is really the only part there is. 3 The other part is a wild illusion, frantic and distraught, but without reality of any kind. 4 Try today not to listen to it. 5 Try to identify with the part of your mind where stillness and peace reign forever. 6 Try to hear God's Voice call to you lovingly, reminding you that your Creator has not forgotten His Son.
W-pI.137.4. Sickness would prove that lies must be the truth. 2 But healing demonstrates that truth is true. 3 The separation sickness would impose has never really happened. 4 To be healed is merely to accept what always was the simple truth, and always will remain exactly as it has forever been. 5 Yet eyes accustomed to illusions must be shown that what they look upon is false. 6 So healing, never needed by the truth, must demonstrate that sickness is not real.
W-pI.137.5. Healing might thus be called a counter-dream, which cancels out the dream of sickness in the name of truth, but not in truth itself. 2 Just as forgiveness overlooks all sins that never were accomplished, healing but removes illusions that have not occurred. 3 Just as the real world will arise to take the place of what has never been at all, healing but offers restitution for imagined states and false ideas which dreams embroider into pictures of the truth.
M-6.1. Healing is always certain. 2 It is impossible to let illusions be brought to truth and keep the illusions.
So if, for example, you encounter disease, realize that in being contrary to wholeness disease is therefore contrary to God, which makes it not true and hence nothing, its dissolution uncovering the wholeness of Truth that it was a lie about.
W-pII.332.1. The ego makes illusions. 2 Truth undoes its evil dreams by shining them away. 3 Truth never makes attack. 4 It merely is. 5 And by its presence is the mind recalled from fantasies, awaking to the real..
Always expose the nothingness of the erroneous attribute and notice what its dissolution uncovers as the True attribute it was a lie about. Anytime you do this, after your finished, be sure to listen, because this makes you ripe for inspiration, guidance, insight, revelation, illumination, metanoia, and the like.
every time you dissolve one of the attributes contrary to God and uncover the Truth it was a lie about, you actually dismantle part of the ego. And so if you’re still identifying with the ego, you’ll come up with every excuse under the sun to avoid doing this. The ego is insane, but not so insane as to work at its own annihilation.
So anytime you do any part of this process, always take a moment to shift your sense of identity from your ego to your True Self. How can you tell them apart? The you that believes it has awareness is the ego. The you that knows it is Awareness is your True Self. Don’t expect anything too dramatic. It’s a shift that is as subtle as it is powerful.
If you ever find that this process doesn’t work for you, it can only be because your clarity doesn’t yet inhabit every the corner of your mind. Your clarity hasn’t yet evicted all your doubts. You must utterly immerse yourself in the Truth until the Truth has it’s way with you. Conviction born of experience can be stubborn, but it’s not as powerful as the conviction that’s inherent in the certainty of Truth. Saturate yourself with your certainty in Truth until conviction born of experience melts before your certainty.
Don’t just think the Truth, feel it as well. Feel what it feels like for Truth, God, Love and Perfection to be all there is. Surrendering to Truth is actually surrendering to God because God is Truth. Surrendering to God means surrendering everything you believe that’s contrary to Truth, to be consumed by the certain Allness of Truth, the certain Allness of God, no matter how much the appearances of those beliefs may linger. As long as you’re trying to get rid of the illusory appearance, by so doing you’re attributing reality to it and hence causing it to persist. It’s when your immersion in Truth is so wholehearted that the illusion no longer matters, that the illusion then disappears.
I. Statement of Being (Absolute Truth):
Truth is that which is so. That which is not Truth, is not so. Therefore, Truth is all there is. The awareness that is right now seeing Truth to be All, must be itself the Truth that it’s seeing, because if it were something else other than Truth, it would have to be not Truth and hence wouldn’t exist. So, Awareness, or Mind, is the Truth that is all there is. Now, that which is all there is, is therefore entire. That which is entire is therefore total. That which is total is therefore complete. That which is complete is therefore whole. That which is whole is therefore one. That which is one is harmonious and Loving, for oneness is both the nature of harmony and the “action” of Love. That which is harmonious and Loving is perfect. That which is perfect is absolute. That which is absolute is infinite. And that which is infinite is everpresent and eternal. So, Truth is all, entire, total, complete, whole, one, harmonious, Loving, perfect, absolute, infinite, everpresent, eternal awareness or Mind being all there is. All of which is what God is, and why God is all there is besides which there can be absolutely nothing else.
II. Sense Testimony (beliefs about body):
1. Body is material and physical
2. Body is limited and local
3. Body can be ill or malfunction
4. Body can be injured or wounded
5. Body is a vehicle for interaction with environment
III. (revealing the Truth the beliefs were a lie about):
Awareness, Mind, God, is the Truth that is all there is. Since there’s nothing physical or material about awareness, and since awareness is the Truth that is all there is, then it’s absolutely impossible for physicality or materiality to exist in any way, shape or form anywhere at all. Since materiality is contrary to awareness, and awareness is Truth, materiality is therefore contrary to Truth, which means that it’s not Truth, which means that it’s not so, which means, again, that it absolutely can’t exist. So whatever appears to be physical or material can only be thought or idea in awareness. Consequently, all that the body can be is entirely thought or idea in awareness.
Since Truth, God, Mind is infinite and everpresent, that which is limited and local is therefore contrary to Truth, making it not Truth, not so, and hence non-existent. Hence limitation and location are illusory lies about the infinity and everpresence of Truth. And since Truth is all there is and all there can be, neither body or anything else can be limited and local. Everything, including body, has to be infinite and everpresent. Because God is all there is, God is therefore all there possibly can be to body. So the belief that body is limited and local is actually a belief that God can be limited and local, which is nonsense. Since God, then, is infinite and everpresent, and since God is all there is to body, then body therefore is infinite and everpresent.
Because God is all there possibly can be, God is all there possibly can be to the body. So the belief that body can be ill or malfunction is actually a belief that God can be ill or malfunction, which is absolutely preposterous. So, since God is all there can be to body, body, thus consisting of nothing else but God, can only function as perfectly as God.
Since Truth is absolutely whole and complete, wounds or injuries, being contrary to wholeness and completeness, are therefore contrary to Truth, and hence are not Truth, not so and hence non-existent. Since Truth is all there is, the wholeness and completeness of Truth is therefore also all there is, besides which, then, there can be nothing else, and hence there can be no injury or wounds. Because God is all there is, God is all there is to body. So the belief that body can be wounded or injured is a belief that God can be wounded or injured, which of course is absurd. So, since God is all there can be to body, body therefore has to be as whole, perfect and complete as God.
Because God is all there is, God is all there can possible be to body. So the belief that body is a vehicle for interaction with environment is actually a belief that God is a vehicle for interaction with environment. But God cannot be a vehicle for something else because God is always all there is. God always is all there is to body, environment and interaction, in and as Mind, which means that God is not the vehicle for, but the actual, absolute and infinite interaction between, and as, Infinite Mind and all it’s infinite manifestation of perfect, harmonious ideas, including body as idea, environment as idea and everything else as idea, the perfect interaction of All being always perfectly whole and one. Body therefore is the perfect, harmonious, Loving interaction of All being perfectly whole and one in and as Mind.
IV. Summary (the combined results of step 3):
All that the body can be is entirely thought or idea in awareness, infinite and everpresent, functioning as perfectly as God, as whole, perfect and complete as God, the perfect, harmonious, Loving interaction of All being perfectly whole and one in and as Infinite Mind.
V. Conclusion (What body really is):
Body is the everpresent, harmonious and Loving interactive function of Mind, God, knowing/being it’s infinite manifestation of ideas as perfectly whole and One.
Your purpose is to see God everywhere, and experience God everywhere, and this is how you can do that with absolutely certain success.
Since God is All and God is Mind, there is never anything in your experience that is outside of your Mind, or that exists as anything other than ideas in that Mind. To the extent that this is realized, to that extent "reconfigurations" will take place smoothly, quickly, effortlessly, and naturally.
It's good to practice "mentalization" where you realize that everything you see is occurring only as thought within your Mind. The more you practice that, the more fully and easily your certainty that God is All there is will manifest. As you go through your day, maintain awareness of the fact that everything you’re experiencing is purely mental, no matter how physical it might appear, just the same as a night-time dream of hitting “physical” concrete is a purely mental fantasy of physicality. Continuously mentalize everything into the dream-stuff of which it actually consists. Be constantly aware of the fact that all you are seeing is a mental movie-projection of your beliefs.
Another great practice is to remind yourself of the following as often as possible: "Because God is All there is, there's absolutely nothing to be concerned about." "Concern" is merely a soft word for fear, so this dissolves fear, which is the only culprit that contaminates peace, and the deeper your peace, the more evident will be God's Presence in your experience.
Since God is all there is, and there can’t be anything else, how much trouble can anything else really be? How can something that isn’t there give you any trouble?
Yes, yes, all our troubles stem from that tiny mad idea that there can be something other than God. But you’ve got to realize the absolute nuttiness of that idea to the extent that it becomes utterly impossible for you to believe it any more.
It takes less than a minute to review how clear and simple all this really is. Truth is True, Nothing else is True, and just isn’t there. So Truth is all there is. And that’s God. Nothing can be more certain than the fact that it’s totally impossible for there to ever be anything separate from God; not you, not anyone, not anything, not now, not ever, not here, not anywhere. And with that certainty you can dissolve all your beliefs in something else, which are the only things that give rise to any appearances of something else.
That’s it. That’s the whole Truth. Could God have made it any simpler than that? Anything more complex is nothing but the ego’s effort to distract you from discovering that it’s not there.
Much Love,
Ben
